Story idea: Mutants and PiratesFrom the Seventh Sanctum Web Boards.
Imagine an alternate world where mutations start popping up around the great age of piracy. Not total superhero stuff, but still far more beneficial than not, usually with some visible physical manifestation, and such people are inevitably persecuted.
Where else to go but Piracy?
So soon you have ships led and manned by mutants - and what are the governments and trading companies to do? Lavishly compensate other mutants to fight for them . . .
