This contest runs from April 2nd, 2006 to midnight EST, June 15th, 2006.

Feel free to discuss art in general at our community here.

Your Challenge: Is to be very, very SILLY.

Yes, forget serious.  Forget dignity.  This contest is about using the silly generators listed below to create one or more entries in some visual format.

Your goal is to, simply, make people laugh.  Maybe your Streetsweeper/Oracle is portrayed DEAD seriously.  Or you come up with a truly imaginative way to display the "Cube of Cola" spell.  Perhaps it's time to draw the superhero 'Clone Panda' in grim n' gritty style.  From high-brow to lowbrow, get funny and make people laugh - but try to keep a modicum of good taste.  Go on.  I'll trust you.

There is also no right way to portray the things you may roll up.  Get imaginative.  Get clever.  Don't just think outside of the box - jump up and down on it.

Generators available for use:

When you enter:

  • When you submit your entry, please note which generator you used.
    • If you take art comissions, note it in your post to the contest, and provide a link for a preferred method of contact - such as a deviantart profile page, your own web page, etc.  A '(Takes Comissions)' link will be provided to that link.  A link from the entries page will be provided, in order to let people know your services are available.

Rules:
  • You may make up to two entries.
    • You may submit "for fun" entries as many times as you want.  These are entries entered with no goal of them being judged, but to share with others.
      • You may use ANY medium as long as you can eventually put it on the web as an image - painting, CGI, cosplay, sculpture, baked goods, etc.
        • You are responsible for hosting your entry in an image format at your own site, deviantart, photobucket, or another such place etc.  Direct submissions of art will be rejected in most cases.  If your entry has nudity, you are responsible for warnings or proper classifications on the storage site.
          • Entries may be serious, silly, or whatever the creator pleases, but keep things within reasonable good taste.  Nudity will be accompanied with a warning on this site as well.
            • Entries must be made specifically for this contest - previous entries or other generator-driven art may not be used.

To Submit:
You may submit your creation in one of several ways:

  • You may post a response with link to this livejournal entry.
    • You may post a response with link to this Message Board post.
      • You may use the "Send Comment" button in the menu to send a link.
        • You may email me at DragonScholar(at)gmail.com.
          • f your entry is not posted within three days, please re-submit it..

All entries must include a link to the art, and most importantly, the description you used so the judges can see how well you did. Please be sure that there is some way to contact you if you have won so you can get your prize - email, AIM, something specific tied to your submission.

Prizes

  • There will be one (1) First Place winner, who will recieve a $35 gift certificate from amazon.com or an appropriate vendor of the winner's choice.
    • There will be two (2) Runner-ups, each will get a $20 gift certificate from amazon.com or an appropriate vendor of the winner's choice.

I thought of another generator you should make. The Not so real Reality TV shows. Just think Extreem Makeover: gangsta addition, or maybe Survivor: Country Living XD
